Evangelist Segun Erinlel was born about fifty years ago in Lagos to Late Pa Bartholomew Adetona Erinle and Mrs Florence Tuyole Erinle of Awewe ruling house of Ewu Ekiti in the then western region of Nigeria. The area is now refered to as Ilejemeje local government. I was educated at All Saints Primary school Yaba in Lagos and United African primary school Isheri in Ikeja area of Lagos.

In 1973, I attended the Ikeja modern school before gaining admission to Baptist Academy in 1975 for my secondary school and higher school certificates.

After my A/level, I joined the National Electric Power Authority as an accounts clerk. I was later employed by First Bank of Nigeria in 1982.

In 1985 Segun proceeded to the United Kingdom for further studies and to God be the glory I am today a qualified lawyer who through my humanitarian instinct and nature deviated to Social studies. I have impacted on our people in my area in the Eastern part of London and such impact today has influenced the life of many aound me. I have carried out work as well a an Immigration consultant and will tell you that this area has helped our people immensely.

Why am l running?

I am passionate about my country and want to contribute positively to their life. I am involved in fighting for democracy in my country and l am in the race to vie for my state [Ekiti State House of Assembly].

My reason is simple. I want to see what I can do to correct all the wrongs of the past especially by our so called leaders who have let down the nation and our dear state.

I am therefore seeking for election through my Constituency. I am very keen to fight for the progress of my constituency and giving them a new direction in life.

To puit it in modern terms, I want to make sure the youth, and older people alike are empowered. I want to make sure the young ones and adult s alike are not left behind in the distribution of the nation’s wealth.

As a representative of the people, I want to lay down a precedence whereby job creation would be the paramount priority of the state government. As a member of the state House of Assembly, I want to ensure that many issues are tackled with precision and impact vigorously on the life of our people in the State House of Assembly. I intend to bring about a bill ensuring all adults from the age of 65 receive a monthly allowance of a minimum of five thousand naira.

I hope to liaise with my colleagues in both the National level both in the Senate and House of Representatives to bring about a bill removing the control of the nation’s generation of electricity as an exclusive control of the Federal government.

The bill would grant autonomy to the different state the right to generate electricity by themselves or create an avenue for private company to generate electricity.

There are many more things coming your way through this medium. Please come along as we kick off a new era of transformation for our state and country.

Please note:

A ten Million Naira medical equipment fund raising has ben launched in London and I want you to be part of this as a starting point to kick off a new period of positive impact on out people.

I came about this idea when I visited Nigeria recently and went for a two months tour of Ilemeje local government where I discovered medical equipments are not available for the use by doctors and nurses. It is simply deplorable!

We have kicked off the medical appeal and I want you to be part of it. Wherever you are in the world, come along and let us impact on our people.
